Data Dashboards

The Houston Health Department (HHD) tracks and analyzes various reportable and non-reportable health conditions in the Houston area. The Houston Health Department has developed interactive dashboards that monitor and assess disease and health trends. These dashboards can be used to understand vulnerable populations and formulate targeted and effective interventions. These dashboards are available for public use by researchers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, public health workers, and the public as a whole. The HHD does not endorse any interpretations, recommendations, or conclusions made by external parties using the data obtained from these dashboards without review by the health department.

Understanding Heat and Health in Houston?

The Houston Health Department (HHD) is tracking how extreme heat affects health, with a focus on Heat-Related Illnesses (HRIs). HRIs happen when people can't cool down due to high temperatures and lack of shade or water. Other health conditions may be worsened, or exacerbated, by extreme heat. This interactive dashboard tracks temperature and health data in the Houston area (primarily Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery counties) and can be used to identify vulnerable populations and formulate interventions to protect our community from extreme heat events.
