Achieving Together is the community plan to end the HIV epidemic in Texas. This plan reflects the ideas, recommendations, and guidance of the Texas HIV Syndicate and Achieving Together Partners, as well as statewide community engagement efforts with people impacted by HIV, people living with HIV, clinicians, and researchers.
END HIV Houston is Houston’s strategic, collaborative campaign to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Houston/Harris County. In partnership with the Houston Health Department, community leaders, and dozens of coalition members have set out to end the HIV epidemic in Houston.
Harris County Public Health is the county health department for Harris County and provides comprehensive health services and programs to the community through a workforce of approximately 700 public health professionals – all dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Harris County residents and the communities in which they live, learn, work, worship, and play.
The Ryan White Grant Administration provides consumer-focused administrative services, programmatic assistance, and technical support for Ryan White Program Part A-funded health and social services with integrity, accountability, and fiscal responsibility.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program is a federal initiative enacted in 1990 to provide primary medical care and social support services to low-income HIV-positive individuals who do not have health insurance or are underinsured. The Ryan White Grant Administration oversees funding for services in the Houston area.
The Ryan White Planning Council will improve the quality of life and advocate for those living with and/or affected by HIV by taking a leadership role in the planning and assessment of HIV resources for the Houston area.
The Ryan White Office of Support is composed of the director, health planner and council coordinators who work to ensure the goals of the planning council are met. The Planning Council and Office of Support seeks to:
- Collaborate with and utilize information from all constituencies to plan and deliver high quality and cost-effective care.
- Identify and provide services to unserved and underserved populations.
- Promote the dissemination of information on HIV prevention, treatment and resources.
The Houston Health Department provides traditional public health services and seeks to use innovative methods to market the community’s present and future needs. Their mission is to work in partnership with the community to promote and protect the health and social well-being of all Houstonians.
Within the Division of Disease Prevention and Control, the Bureau of HIV/STD and Viral Hepatitis Prevention works in partnership with the community to assess, plan, and implement effective public health strategies to reduce the spread of HIV, viral hepatitis, and other sexually transmitted infections in the City of Houston.
The principal purpose of the Houston HIV Prevention Community Planning Group is to create a comprehensive plan to address the HIV Prevention needs of the City of Houston.
The Texas HIV Syndicate is a collaboration of leaders from across the state, working together to share and generate insights into a variety of HIV-related issues. Comprised of Texans involved in HIV prevention and care, Texas HIV Syndicate members engage in collective learning through ongoing conversation and exploration of topics that affect local communities, regions, and the state as a whole.
The mission of The Houston Regional HIV/AIDS Resource Group is to maximize all possible medical, psychosocial & educational resources to help persons affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS with a primary focus in Northeast, Deep East & Southeast Texas. TRG performs various tasks including but not limited to: community planning, competitive service bidding, contract negotiation, service implementation and monitoring, technical assistance, data collection, quality management, and clinical review
