Free HIV tests set for national testing day June 27

The Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) and numerous area agencies will offer free HIV tests Friday, June 27, as part of National HIV Testing Day. HDHHS, the Latino HIV Task Force, African-American State of Emergency Task Force and many local agencies will test at four sites throughout the city. The sites, their addresses and hours are:

  • Prince Complex, 3000 Jensen Drive, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Planned Parenthood, 3601 Fannin, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Southwest Multi-Service Center, 6400 High Star, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Sunnyside Multi-Service Center, 4605 Wilmington, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Those at risk for HIV include people who have had unprotected sex with others whose HIV status is unknown or shared injection drugs. For more information, call 713-794-9092.
