HDHHS to set up four Saturday H1N1 vaccination sites

The Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) will set up four H1N1 vaccination sites Saturday, Nov. 7, to target people who have been unable to obtain a vaccine because of weekday work schedules. 

The four sites will offer free doses of the H1N1 nasal spray vaccine, recommended for healthy people between the ages of 2 and 49.

HDHHS employees will begin issuing tickets at 8 a.m. for appointments between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. HDHHS will distribute 1,000 appointment tickets per site on a first come, first serve basis.  

The vaccination sites are:

  • Acres Home Multi-Service Center, 6719 W. Montgomery, 77091
  • Magnolia Health Center, 7037 Capitol, 77011
  • Southwest WIC, 6400 High Star, 77074
  • Sunnyside Health Center, 9314 Cullen, 77051
