The Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) is offering free HIV testing in observance of National HIV Testing Day June 27. The public awareness campaign is designed to promote voluntary participation in HIV testing and counseling services. The City of Houston’s Bureau of HIV/STD Prevention will provide free testing at Sharpstown Mall on June 27.

The City of Houston’s Mobile Unit will be at Sharpstown Mall from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on June 27 providing free testing. Health educators will also be at the event with educational information, incentives and referrals to HIV services. Sharpstown Mall is located at 7500 Bellaire Blvd. in Houston. The Mobile Unit will be parked outside the mall between the south entrance and Luby’s.

The following organizations will be providing free testing on June 27. Everyone is encouraged to come to Sharpstown Mall or to contact one the community based organizations to get testing for HIV on June 27.
