The Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS) will conduct all immunizations services at city health centers. From July 18 to August 19, parents who take their children for immunizations to any of the six community sites should go instead to their nearest HDHHS health center.

Houston public health officials have lifted the health advisory for Hunting Bayou from McCarty Road to the Houston Ship Channel. The health advisory was issued April 21 as a result of contaminated runoff from an industrial fire. The chemical entered the bayou as runoff from an industrial fire.
