The Houston Health Department and Ibn Sina Foundation will host a community health fair Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 9318 Homestead Road.
In observance of Women’s History Month, the Houston Health Department and District H City Council Member Mario Castillo will host a Women’s Health Fair, Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Denver Harbor Multi-Service Center, 6402 Market St.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory expected to remain in effect for southeast Texas the rest of the week. A heat advisory is issued when the heat index, a computation of the air temperature and humidity, reaches 108 degrees for two consecutive days.
