Care Connection specializes in locating both private and public services for older adults and individuals with disabilities of all ages. Care Connection is a free service targeting residents of these Texas counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Walker, Waller and Wharton.
Community Re-Entry Network Program
Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The Community Re-Entry Network Program provides resources for ex-offenders through life skills classes, case management and referrals to other providers to assist with bridging the transition from prison to the community.
Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Gulf Coast Community Services provides general equivalency diploma (GED) classes to the Harris County community. One-on-one instruction, with dedicated staff whom help students improve their basic skills and obtain high school credentials.
Houston Public Library — McCrane-Kashmere Gardens
The Houston Public Library, McCrane-Kashmere Gardens Neighborhood Library serves this neighborhood's culturally diverse community by offering a broad program of free educational, informational and recreational activities.
Lift Zone (Hotspot Internet Access)
Comcast Lift Zones provide free hotspot internet access to help students get online, participate in distance learning, and do their homework.
Mayor's Assistance Office
Monday – Friday, hours vary
The Mayor's Assistance Office functions in a customer service capacity to ensure that City of Houston services are delivered to neighborhoods. Investigates problems and quickly reports to the proper department to be solved within a reasonable period of time. Also provides support to groups involved with community development activities and works directly with civic clubs, neighborhood organizations, schools, and churches. Serves as an information and referral source.

My Brother's Keeper addresses inequitable conditions faced by our city’s youth, particularly boys and young men of color, by providing the tools and information needed to properly educate and motivate our next generation of leaders.
