Algia Hickenbotham, RN, BSN, MEd, manager of Nursing and Health Center Operations at the Houston Department of Health and Human Services (HDHHS), received the American Public Health Association’s Lillian Wald Service Award at the group’s national meeting. The Third Ward Community Cloth Cooperative's Health Thread, Riverside Health Center's Advisory Council, Riverside General Hospital and other community organizations are hosting the third annual Our Health - Community Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29. The festival will be held at Riverside Health Center, 3315 Delano and Riverside General Hospital, 3204 Ennis.
