Breathe with Pride Houston LGBTQ2IA+ Tobacco Prevention Coalition is a network of Public health specialists, LGBTQ2IA+ advocates, educators, medical professionals, and community members who are committed to reducing the burden of tobacco health-related disparities across the Greater Houston area.
SmokefreeSGM Study
UTHealth is currently recruiting LGBTQ+ individuals to participate in the SmokefreeSGM study funded by the National Cancer Institute. This study will help us learn how people respond to support with quitting smoking via a tailored text-messaging program.

UTHealth is currently recruiting LGBTQ+ individuals to participate in the SmokefreeSGM study funded by the National Cancer Institute. This study will help us learn how people respond to support with quitting smoking via a tailored text-messaging program.

You may be eligible to participate if you are:
- at least 18 years old
- a U.S. resident
- identify as LGBTQ+
- a current cigarette smoker
- willing to participate in a text-messaging program
- willing to set a quit date in the next few weeks

Participants will be compensated for their time and provided with complimentary nicotine patches to aid in their efforts to quit smoking.
