  • Getting tested at Houston Health Department multi-service centers is FREE, and does not require proof of residency, citizenship or insurance. Some health department testing partners require insurance and ID. Contact your insurance provider to make sure the testing partner is in network.

Houston Health Department

Testing at Houston Health Department (HHD) Multi-Service Centers and Health Centers is free and does not require insurance.

Testing is available by appointment via curbside service at these locations. The process involves self-administered shallow nasal swabs.

Results are provided by phone call. If you don’t receive results within 72 hours, please call 832-393-4220

Nomi Health

Testing at Nomi Health sites is free and does not require insurance. 

Nomi testing sites use self-administered shallow nasal swabs. Visit the Nomi Health Scheduler for appointment information and testing sites. Appointments are available but not required.

Results are provided by text message and email. If you do not receive results within 2 hours for Rapid Antigen or within 48 hours for PCR, call 512-355-0301.

Curative

Insurance and ID are required for testing at Curative sites.

Results are provided by text message and email. If you do not receive results within 72 hours, please call 1-888-702-9042.

UMMC

Insurance and ID are required for testing at UMMC sites.

United Memorial Medical Center testing sites use nasal swabs administered by healthcare professionals. Visit ummcscreening.com/testing-locations or call 1-866-333-2684 for locations, schedules, and appointment information. Appointments are available but not required.

Results are provided by text message and email. If you do not receive results within 72 hours, please call 1-866-333-2684.

Texas Health and Human Services

Testing is available at local health centers, clinics, and pharmacies. The Texas Department of State Health Services provides this webpage to locate sites. 

Harris County Public Health

To sign up for COVID-19 testing via Harris County Public Health, please visit hcphtx.org or call 832-927-7575.

In-Home COVID-19 Testing

The Harris County Area Agency on Aging offers COVID-19 in-home testing. To qualify, you must reside in Harris County and meet other criteria.

School Testing Program
